Additional Local Rules

  1. Any area encircled by a white line is ground under repair.
  1. Flagsticks: As flagsticks are set so that all of the ball cannot be below the surface of the putting green, the ball is considered holed if any part of it is below the surface.
A ball is deemed holed with the next stroke if it is ‘within the leather’ (of a normal length putter).
  1. Preferred Lies: Free relief once no nearer the hole, no more than 6 inches from where it lay.
  1. Aeration Holes:Free relief within one club length no nearer the hole except on the putting green where the ball may be placed on the spot of nearest relief.

If the player tries to replace a ball but it does not stay on its original spot, the player must try a second time.  If the ball again does not stay on that spot, the player must replace the ball by placing it on the nearest spot where the ball will stay at rest, but within the limits depending on where the original spot is located.

If the position of the ball is not marked before lifting it, or the player moves the ball marker, or moves the ball in any other manner, such as rolling it with a club, he incurs a penalty of one stroke.

Breach of Local rule: Loss of hole in match play or two penalty strokes in stroke play.
